Villacana is located between the jet-set town of Marbella and the more traditional Spanish town of Estepona. Villacana offers the best of both worlds. Villacana stretches out from its beach club with its magnificent swimming pool, childrens pool, adjoining Bar and restaurant on the lower level and leads to a wide sandy beach. On the upper level there are another two restaurants and a bar/club. there is also another restaurant by the beach offering the very highest standard of international cuisine. The area is separated from the beach by a private lawn for the relaxation of residents. Note that in the quieter times of the year not all restaurants are open.

The sun dappled walk ways that thread their way through Villacana are flanked by lush, well tended award winning gardens with a variety of sub tropical plants splashing a blaze of colour at every turn. These pedestrian avenues knit together a mix of traditional pueblo and more modern style townhouses. Also adjacent to Villacana is Gregorios Spanish restaurant which is popular children and adults alike. Apart from the south club house swimming pool and childrens pool Comunidad Villacana has three other pools well placed thoughout the development and these are surrounded by townhouses. Just the thing for that early morning swim. In the north section of Villacana there are two further pools one of which is heated. There is also another restaurant and bar in this area. Villacana is within easy reach of the luxury harbour of Puerto Banus, with its spectacular marina berthing every style and size of pleasure boat from ocean going yachts to ski-towing speed boats. The Port also has restaurants, bars, discotheques and shops to satisfy the most discerning tastes. For those of a quieter disposition, there are the back streets of Estepona with shops and restaurants to match their surroundings. Yet again, for those who prefer the truly Spanish flavour. There is the town of Ronda or Casares an untouched mountain village. Both are but a short drive into the country.

The excellent Safari Park which is 4 kilometres from Villacana and provides an excellent day out with botanical gardens, a spectacular walk and safari drive.

Villacana is a very popular Family Resort right on the beach approx half way between Estepona and San Pedro de Alcantara and is close to Marbella & Puerto Banus. Villacana is most popular during the school holiday periods because of many varied activities for children of all ages. In the Winter the villas which are mainly in the style of townhouses are popular with Golfers out for a break during the grey days in the UK. The north Villacana Club is a resort within a resort; part of a quiet, friendly village where sun-dappled walkways meander through courtyards and tall palms lead down to a superb sandy beach.

Villacana Club is a relaxed resort noted for its fine food and wines and first class service with extra facilities available to those who choose to book at this Macdonalds Resort- for something extra special ask for the availability of their two luxury apartments. They have a large number of townhouse and apartments in addition to the privately owned units located in the south. It is possible that in this “secret” there will be vacancies here when the rest of Villacana is full. These apartments are ideal for golfers as are there other Resorts on the Costa del Sol, these are situated along the coast at Leila Playa Resort and Dona Lola Resort in Calahonda and the La Ermita Resort in Mijas Costa

Leila Playa Resort Leila Playa is a secluded, friendly resort, whose avenues of palm trees wind down to the beach and the warm Mediterranean.

At the centre is the outdoor swimming pool with its sun trap terraces flanked by tumbling waterfalls, rockeries and rock pools. At the Colonial-style Clubhouse, you can enjoy a drink or meal in the bar-restaurant, or dine alfresco on the Club terrace, over-looking the pool.

The spacious marble-floored apartments are fitted and furnished to a very high standard and range from one bedroom (sleeping two), to three bedrooms and three bathrooms (sleeping up to eight).

Dona Lola Club The sub-tropical gardens of Dona Lola Club are characterised by swaying palms and tumbling waterfalls - all gently sloping towards the sea with wonderful views out across the blue Mediterranean.

A large resort built around a 270 foot long curved swimming pool, Dona Lola is situated within a short stroll of Calahonda with its shops, tapas bars, restaurants and nightlife.

Most of the apartments at Dona Lola have south facing balconies or terraces. Bordering the spectacular outdoor pool is a welcoming bar and restaurant where regular entertainment includes a popular Flamenco show. In this area is a shallowpool for young children, while a second outdoor pool for adults completes the picture.

For more informal dining, barbecues are weekly events during the summer months. The resort has magnificent leisure facilities including tennis courts, a heated indoor pool, gym, snooker and pool tables, sauna, whirlpool and Turkish bath.
